Description

Type: Red Wine
Grape(s): Malbec
Wine Region: Mendoza, Argentina

Tasting Note: Deep ruby red colour with violet tones. Aromas of red fruit, plum, graphite and floral notes. The palate is round and balanced, with sweet and juicy tannins. Aged 18 months in French oak barrels, with a small percentage of first-use barrels.

Estate: In 1989, Paul Hobbs visited Mendoza and fell in love with the region's potential for great wine. After experimenting with wild-fermented Chardonnay and Malbec, he established Viña Cobos in 1999. Over 20 years later, he continues to produce elegant wines that express the unique terroirs of Mendoza, focusing on Luján de Cuyo and Valle de Uco, through meticulous vineyard farming and respect for the land.

Suggested food and wine pairing: A succulent wine made to be drunk with succulent meat like a slowroasted leg of lamb.
