Description

Wine Region: Mendoza, Argentina

Tasting Notes: Bright red colour, attractive and young, with a violet border. The nose is fruity, plums and fresh cherries with a hint of spice. On the palate it has a medium intense body structure with soft tannins and pleasing finish. Hand harvested grapes. Cold fermentation in stainless steel tanks with a maceration of about 14 days. No oak ageing.

Suggested food and wine pairing: Steak and meat dishes, pasta & sauce. Ideal to accompany traditional Argentinean asado and pastas.

Light red - fit for a summer wedding

Iris Malbec was chosen to match our menu choices for our recent wedding. This proved to be a popular choice as many of our guests passed comment on how much they enjoyed the table wine. A light fruity wine, this complimented the food served on the day. We look forward to purchasing more for the house in the future.
