Description

Type: Red Wine
Grape(s): Corvina gentile, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara.
Wine Region: Veneto, Italy

Tasting Notes: Bitter sweet nose, bright cherry, plum/damson, chocolate, hints of meat and spice. Classic sweet and savoury flavours, almost a creamy texture, some oxidative notes but these just add complexity. Distinctive and delicious.

Meaty and savoury nose followed by dark forest fruits notes and jammy notes. Shows velvety tannins and a smooth texture. Lovely long, complex finish.’ – Decanter

A blend of Corvina gentile, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara. Average age of the vines is 50 years.

The grapes are harvested by hand in the second half of October and pressed at the end of January after aging on mats. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks, then the wine rests for five years first in big oak barrels and then again in tanks until bottling.

Suggested food and wine pairing: Antipasto -like salami, bruschetta, cured meats.
