Subcategories

  • Beaujolais

Beaujolais is the home of the Gamay grape. Beaujolais wines are typically a lighter style of red wine with crunchy red fruit flavours. Beaujolais is technically a part of Burgundy and it's wines offer fantastic value for money.

  • Bordeaux

Bordeaux is probably the most famous wine region in the world. Forget the old stuffy image, Bordeaux is currently producing some fantastic modern wines based around Merlot & Cabernet Sauvignon grapes for the reds.

  • Burgundy

Red Burgundy - seen by many as the benchmark for wines made from Pinot Noir. Here at Old Chapel Cellars we are very particular about our Burgundy and we get most of it picked up directly from the Domaine and shipped directly to us. It is a hand-picked range of top quality, usually small family-run Domaine's as we are well aware that extra special care must be taken when sourcing one of the world's most delicate wines.

  • Languedoc Rousillon

Languedoc Rousillon is producing some excellent red wines - often big & hearty but not without class. Value for money is certainly one of it's strong points.

  • Loire

The Loire is perhaps better known for its Sauvignon Blancs from Sancerre & Pouilly Fume but that does not mean that it does not make some excellent red wines that are bursting full of terroir.

  • Rhone

The Rhone Valley produces some of the world's finest red wines. Seen by many as the finest expression of Shiraz.

A really fun and juicy red wine, just what you would expect from Beaujolais. Great drinking all year round but try it slightly chilled in the summer.
