  • Bierzo

Bierzo is in northwest Spain not far from Galicia. The main grape here is the red grape mencia - a great excuse to try some Spanish wine that is different from the norm and not a whiff of tempranillo!

  • Cadiz

Cadiz is located in the southwest of Spain. It is not on the radar of most wine drinkers but we urge you to give it a try.

  • Campo de Borja

Campo de Borja is located just to the south of the wine regions of Rioja & Navarra, so you can be assured of great quality. The major difference is that the main grape variety used here is Garnacha as opposed to Tempranillo.

  • Carinena

Carinena is a little known wine producing region to the south of Rioja. The main grape variety here is Garnacha (aka Grenache), although it is considered to be the home of the French grape Carignan (also known as Mazuelo in Rioja)!

The wine region of Catalunya is on Spain's eastern coast. It produces wines that often have more in common with the wines of Southern France than they do with other Spanish wines.

  • Ribera del Duero

Spain's Ribera del Duero is one of the country's most famous wine regions. It is home to legendary names such as Vega Sicilia. The wines are made from the Tempranillo grape - known locally as Tinta del pais. The wines from here are typically big and bold but should also demonstrate elegance.

  • Rioja

Rioja is Spain's most famous wine region and the Navajas wines are our top-sellers. Tempranillo is king in Rioja but does not hold the monopoly, with grapes such as Graciano and Mazuelo playing important supporting roles. So if you are looking for a basic Rioja or would like to look for a Crianza, Reserva, Gran Reserva or even a new wave Riojan "vino de autor" then this is the best section for you.

This hails form the North West of Spain, close to the border with Portugal, an area that shares a lot of similarities with Cornwall. Treixadura is the grape and it is more commonly found in Portuguese wines. This shows orchard fruit notes with lots of minerality. Interesting and refreshing - great with seafood.

Super serious Rioja. Almost 100 year pre-phylloxera Tempranillo old vines from a tiny plot 600m above sea-level. The wine is fermented and aged in oak. Total production is only about 1000 bottles. Incredibly dense and concentrated with chalky minerality. Incredibly complex - a wine that will unfold as the years progress.
